Promote your Facebook page and get likes with 1LD's Facebook Likebox stack
Jeremy and crew released a new social stack today. Facebook Likebox is a popup that opens after the web page has loaded and provides a Facebook-like-button. If required, the popup will also display mini thumbnails of your friends. Facebook Likebox is a simple and straight forward stack that was made on customer request.
Facebook id: Enter the id of the Facebook page.
Load every time: Make sure the like box opens up every time a user visits.
Show Friends: Have the option to have friends viewed in the like box.
Module Color: Select the color of the of the like box.
Shadow Color: Pick the color of the shadow accent on the box.
Module Delay: This allows you to delay the time it takes for the box to appear.
A simple CMS system for you and your customers.
The new Edits stack from Kuler will allow you to simply implement an editable section on your stacks pages. You, or your client, can access the stack from any web browser. There is no longer any need to install a fully fledged CMS system, all you need is a single stack.
Kuler Edits provides an attractive, yet simple interface which allows you to edit not only the text, but also to edit or upload new images. Uploaded images are automatically responsive and resize to fit the column width.
The stack accepts Rich Text or HTML-code so that, in theory, almost anything is possible within the stack.
Edits does not rely on a database or mySQL, content is saved and retrieved using php and stored within a .txt file on your server. Re-publishing the page will not overwrite any changes made online.

1LDs Free stacks now contain advertising.
If you have used any of 1LDs free stacks recently, you may have been irritated by the fact that they now contain advertising for the 'Pro' version of the stack. While the adds do not display on the finished page, they do take up unnecessary space on the Stacks page.
It is possible to remove the offending text. Here's how.
1) Click on the stack icon
2) In the gear icon below select “Show in finder”
3) This will take you to the stack itself. Right click and select “Show package contents”
4) Navigate inside the folder to the index.html or template.html file and open it
5) Remove the following code, save, close RapidWeaver completely and restart or, if you have the Developer Tools active, Reload the stack library and save the project.
This is the code that is displayed in Simple Text's template.html

Don't forget that if the stack is updated at any point, you will need to repeat the process.
DoorKeeper & OnetimeRedirect from Marathia, Review By Rob Hall, CEO at rjh Web Design Rating: 3 out of 5. If you want to display a message before your visitor can enter your site, you now have two new stacks to choose from.
DoorKeeper Stack displays a message before a visitor can enter a page. OnetimeRedirect automatically takes your visitor to a landing page.
DoorKeeper allows you to set a message that will display before your visitor is allowed to enter your site. Draw attention to a new product or special offer; invite your visitor to take a survey; ask your visitor to accept or decline cookies. DoorKeeper is a self contained stack that will display the appropriate message and display two buttons e.g. 'accept'/'decline', 'take me to the homepage'/'take me to the special offer'. DoorKeeper then sets a cookie which will remember the users choice for a set period of time.
A useful stack, if you don't want to play with pop-ups, buttons and .js.
OnetimeRedirect will redirect your visitor to a landing page of your choice. Make your users aware of a special offer or a new product by taking them straight to a splash page when they visit your site. The result is more effective than a popup or a dedicated section on your homepage.
OnetimeRedirect can redirect your visitors to another page from any page it is placed on – It will only redirect once. A cookie will be set to prevent the redirection again until the cookie expires.
Bottom line: If you want to display a message before your visitor can enter your site, you now have two new stacks to choose from.
Production — the all-in-one toolkit for responsive content.
There are numerous multi-column stacks available for RapidWeaver, so when someone introduces yet another, I am sceptical. Nick Cates Design's, Production is just such a stack; but this is a multi-column stack with a difference.
Production offers entirely new options, it is not simply a column stack that reflows, it gives you the option of setting breakpoints and then adjusting the vertical height between columns after the breakpoint has been reached. This fact alone would probably have moved me to purchase the stack, but wait … there is more.
Images positioned in the columns can be set to be cropped, to fluidly reflow, or to scale when the screen size is reduced. Content can be set to fade in and can also be protected from theft by disabling drag and drop and right mouse click. Content protection works for both text and images and, although there is no bulletproof protection for web content, this will prevent the average user from copying your material.
Here is a recap:
1. Column Count: Select a 1, 2, 3, or 4, column responsive layout.
2. Column Spacing: Adjustable horizontal column gap spacing.
3. Break Point: Select screen width point when columns transition to vertical full width.
4. Break Spacing: Adjustable vertical spacing gap between columns (after breakpoint).
5. Image Scaling: Apply responsive image scaling, "None", "100% Fluid", or "Downscale", to Production stack images.
6. Fade-In Loading: Text and images will fade in once loaded (Optional).
7. Disable Right Click: Prevent the right click context menu on Production stack content (Optional).
8. Disable Highlight: Prevent visitors from highlighting Production stack content (Optional).
9. Disable Image Drag: Prevent visitors from dragging Production stack images (Optional).
